Happy Friday everyone!
For today’s refashion I started out with this very thin, oversized, long-sleeved t-shirt.
I thought it wasn’t that bad for 49-cents…it’ s just too big and the material is thin…until I saw this!
Not to fear! I have a fantastic refashion in mind!
It’s quick…
It’s easy…
…and there are no sewing skills required!
Heck, your kids could even do it! Easy peasy!
First I got busy cutting…
Then I cut strips (making sure to leave about 6 inches at the top).
Once all the strips were cut, it was time to streeeetch.
(Each piece of fringe even needed to be stretched)
That’s it!
Here’s a closer look…
Pretty easy huh? I love refashions that cost less than a dollar!
Now I need to go digging through my “to be refashioned” pile for some more t-shirts to do this with.
What do you think?

One more thing. This was a great week for Diary of a MadMama. Lots of y’all checked out the blog, left great comments, and were a HUGE encouragement. Thank you so much! I’m having a ton of fun…and perhaps the best part is getting to know you all.
Have a great weekend!
Ok, one more thing I thought you should know. I gave away a scarf on the Diary of a Madmama Facebook page this week, and if you “like” my page…who knows…I just might do another giveaway soon!
Thanks! : )

SUPER cute!!!
Thank you. I chose this refashion to do today because I didn’t have a lot of time (we had company coming) and it was super easy!
Thanks for your comment! 🙂

Hi – I’ve enjoyed reading your blog. I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award.
Wow, thank you! 🙂
You’re welcome. Your blog is fun to read.
Jen, you’re a genius! Love, love, love the scarf! So cute and easy!
Wow! Thanks for the nice comment. My favorite projects are the quick and easy kind. I get bored too easily! 😉
Awesomeness. Refashions are epic. Do you ever make entire garments, or only refashioning of old ones?
Hi Hannah,
Thanks for your comment! I have made entire garments, but I much prefer refashioning! I like that I’m giving something a new life and making it completely original at the same time. 🙂
Really love the results you get from revamping garments! They all look fab! 🙂
Wow! Thanks so much! It’s also much cheaper than buying new! 🙂 Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Happy Monday!
You’re welcome! I’ll definitely give the scarf a go at some point :)… A girl can never have too many scarves!
My sentiments precisely! I’d love to see the before and after pics when you get yours done! 🙂
OMG I love this scarf! Thank you for contributing to Refashion First Friday!
