For today’s refashion, I wanted to make something quick and easy because let me tell ya’, this week has been nuts!
It all started last Friday, when the transmission went out on the Hubs’ van while he was driving 3 hours home from work.
Luckily Miraculously, he somehow made it all the way home, but wound up leaving me car-less all week. We were planning on moving into our new house this weekend, but now I think we’ll end up spending it looking for another vehicle instead. 😦
To get my mind off my woes, I decided to refashion something.
My daughter wanted a cashmere hat, so she sorted through my cashmere sweater stash and found these:
Can you believe I found this cashmere sweater (that she’s wearing) for 49-cents?!!?! Sooooo soft!
The first thing I did with them is cut a bunch of strips…
Ugh, I am so SICK of winter! I don’t think spring is ever going to get here!
This snow and cold stuff is really starting to get on my nerves!
I know I know, nobody likes a complainer… but nobody likes cold feet either, and that’s what I’ve had for months now!
When it’s freezing outside, I just want to lounge around the house in comfy clothes and slippers with a nice hot cup of cocoa (or a mocha) and snuggle up under a blanket.
The problem is, this winter has been so cold, I’ve worn out my slippers and my poor, cold feet have been paying the price.
I finally decided to do something about it and make myself a new, even cozier pair.
I drafted a pattern from a pair of my cousin’s slippers that she always lets me borrow when I come to visit.
Paper bags make great pattern pieces!
