Me-Made-May ’14 – Day Nine

For today’s Me-Made-May post I wanted to share what is quite possibly my favorite refashion I’ve made for my daughter. Why? Because she designed it herself!

Almost a year ago, I was thrift shopping with my daughter, when she found two shirts priced 49-cents each. She brought them over to me and said, “Can you make me a dress out of these?” I was so impressed with her creativity that I went right home and started working on it. She was happy with the result, I was happy that she was happy, and she’s worn the dress many times since then! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. I think your daughter has a good eye! Nice job mom! As the Bible says, “Train up a child in the way (s)he should go and when (s)he is old, (s)he will not depart from it.”* Different pronoun from the original, same good concept. Your good example with re-using…”more things are caught than taught” is already paying some dividends. *Proverbs 22:6
