Refashion Runway Season Four: All Stars – Week Two: Metallic Challenge

I’m so excited for you to see what I’ve been working on for this week’s Refashion Runway Challenge.

Ever since I found out all of the themes for this season, I’ve been looking most forward to this week because of the metallic theme.

First of all, I decided to use a couple of curtains that I was given a while ago, but never had the right sized windows to use them on.

And what an adventure it will be!

Refashion Runway Season Four: All Stars has officially begun. (Cue in the trumpets)

Here’s your line up of creative All Stars for this season. I’m so honored that they will be sharing all of their inspired expertise with us again.

Welcome to Gema, from Sequins and Slippers. She will be joining us again from across the pond in England. She wowed us with her amazing refashions last season and I’m so glad she included the cool bag she made from a hat in her picture. (And her cute dog, Rod. 🙂 )

Carissa from Carissa Knits comes back to us with all of her inspired sewing tricks from the second season of Refashion Runway. As you can see she’s one talented girl!

Me-Made-May ’14 – Day Eight

Whew! Today was a scorcher! I knew we were supposed to get some unseasonably warm weather today, but I didn’t realize it was going to get this hot…

Me-Made-May '14 | Day Eight | Diary of a MadMama #MMMay14

As you can see from my car’s temperature gauge, it came close to 90-degrees today. We were all sweatin’ like pigs and wishing that we were at the other house so that we could go jump in the lake to cool off! Instead, we chose to hang out at the park.

Luckily I had packed this sleeveless top that I refashioned as part of my “copycat” challenge for season one of Refashion Runway.

Another Sewing Scientist has birthed this amazing map connecting all crafters around the world. Is she genius or what ??

So please spread the word, pin yourself & hopefully { JUST HOPEFULLY } you are able to connect with fellow sewintists in your area. Her blog post here, will give you instructions on how to add yourself. Feel free to add yourself more than once if you divide your time between cities/countries etc.

Go forth & spread the { LOVE }. I look forward to connecting with you all far & wide x

My New Year’s Resolution

Hi, my name is Jen!

This year, one of my many New Year’s resolutions is to start a blog…and here it is!

The reason I want to start a blog is to document my attempt at becoming a domestic goddess, whilst dealing with the reality that I’m far from it!

Martha Stewart I may not be, but I enjoy cooking, baking, crafting, refashioning, homeschooling my 3 awesome kids and spending hours looking for inspiration on Pinterest (which is where most of my blog ideas will undoubtedly come from).

If you are reading my blog I want to say, “Thank you!” My hope is that you enjoy reading my mad ramblings and cool tutorials, and I always welcome your comments.

Jen 🙂
