Me-Made-May ’14 – Day Nineteen

Remember this summer dress?

Me-Made-May '14 | Day Nineteen | Diary of a MadMama #MMMay14

This was my summer dress challenge for the Refashion Runway Season One.

It began as this:

Strangely, the original post (that detailed the refashion) seems to have vanished right off my blog. :/

Here’s me in it today:

    • Thanks, Alys!

It’s one piece. There’s elastic where the bodice meets the skirt so it’s simple to slip on, and very comfy! And surprisingly needs little ironing, which I love! 😉

We’re getting there (with the move). This weekend I plan on having a big moving sale, so that’s what we’ve been busying ourselves with this week. After this weekend we only have two more back and forth trips and we’re up north for good! (Can’t wait!) 🙂

  1. I remember it too, and it was one of my favourites, too! I would never think to put black and tan together … but they look wonderful.

    • Thanks Jo! I was researching fashion trends at the time of the refashion and I saw that black and tan was a trend, so I specifically looked for something in those colors at the thrift shop when I prepared for this refashion. I’m really happy with this one. It’s definitely one of my favorites and I like black and tan together now so much (never would’ve thought to pair them together before) that I might have to do some more black and tan refashions! 🙂
Thanks so much for your sweet comments! 🙂

    • Thank you! My almost 15- year old son is my photographer! He saved up for a while to get himself a DSLR camera and has been teaching himself how to use it. I give him lots of practice! 🙂

  2. Yes, I do remember that dress! It blew me away when I first saw it. How sad that your post is missing! 😦 Do you back up your blog? Maybe you could retrieve it from a back-up version if you have one saved.
